NAN MEE Fine Arts Award 18 is closely related to the Horse Award theme, but it is aimed at older students, university-level creators, and the general public. The tone is more serious, with an emphasis on painting, concept, and presentation.

The theme “Bloom” can be read in many ways: growth, memory, healing, change, hope, or the beauty that slowly appears in people and society.

Artwork Format

Submitted works must be paintings using watercolor, oil, or acrylic. The required size is large, from 100 x 120 cm to 120 x 150 cm, excluding the frame.

Because of the scale, artists should plan composition, visual weight, color, and installation readiness before starting the final work.

MiniPriza’s Note

For a painting contest at this level, it helps to begin with one clear sentence: What exactly is blooming in this work?

Once that sentence is clear, the artist can decide how color, focal point, texture, and hidden details should support the idea.
