Horse Award 18 is a long-running art contest for children and young students. It gives participants from kindergarten through lower secondary school a chance to create and submit their own artwork.

This year’s theme is “Bloom”, an open-ended idea that can mean flowers, hope, kindness, growth, family, nature, or the way a child sees something beautiful beginning to open up in the world.

Who This Contest Is For

The contest is divided into three student groups: kindergarten to lower primary, upper primary, and lower secondary. This gives children a fairer space to compete with others close to their age range.

The format is especially good for children who enjoy drawing, coloring, and telling stories visually.

MiniPriza’s Note

For the theme “Bloom”, children can begin from feeling rather than technique. Parents or teachers can ask: What is growing in your life? What would happiness look like if it bloomed?

A good children’s artwork is not only beautiful. It often carries the child’s own voice, and that honesty is what makes it memorable.
